We are proud of taking part in the post-pandemic EP of these Basque Death/Doom masters, it is an honor for a small label as ours that HEX deemed us as worthy of releasing their stuff.
In cooperation with our brothers Negre PlanY and the long-running label Hecatombe Records, we introduce you the digipack version of the EP that looks like a perfect lumbering steamroller of utterly darkened and mid-paced Death/Doom metal. Three songs showcasing the HEX's dominion over the genre, going beyond their previous album "God has no name" towards a more accurate and tight musical approach, but without neglecting the bottomless inner darkness that conveys this band coming from Bilbao. Always rooted on the pillars of the genre, there’s no place for ultra-speeded up riffings, but rather a crushing and heavy-weighted death metal ancient spirit from Bolt Thrower or Asphyx, without ignoring the majestic melodic, dark, and atmospheric side from acts in the early and glory days from non-polished doom/death acts like old Paradise Lost or My Dying Bride.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Black Storm Studios (Sijjin, Numen, Legen Beltza) by none other than Ekaitz Garmendia, features an additional vinyl mastering at Temple of Disharmony by Patrick W. Engel (Paradise Lost, Tiamat, Asphyx, Grave Miasma) for an upcoming 12’’ vinyl version. This outstanding recording is embellished by the obscurants’ arts by the mighty Adolfo WB (Warbanner Studios). All with the sole aim to create a such unique and unlighted top-notch experience, capable of catch the sonorous darkness that the Basques are able to summon up. A journey into the unknown and the deepest level of the human soul, like a descent into hell & madness on these new three superb tracks that establish and consolidate the new artistical standing of these purveyors of the uncompromising DARKNESS.
