about

After many delays, the new Briargh CD is already warm in our hands. A CD that already seemed cursed until today.

But it was not only the fate that delayed the release, but this album had already been composed for several years. To find its genesis, we would have to go back to the year 2017 when this album began to be composed by Erun Dagoth himself until he reached the current result: 10 whips of Celtic Black Metal that honors the native Cantabrian culture, deepening the pre-Christian legacy from his ungovernable homeland.

An epic vibe, raw barbaric instrumentation and a sonic avalanche perfectly define the sound of this album. Without a doubt, Erun Dagoth has defined a style for this album that is much more epic and bombastic than the previous ones, without forgetting in any way the martiality and rawness of epic Black Metal that has always characterized his works. For this he has also counted on the collaborations of Varken (Hrizg, ex-Forestdome, ex-Korzo) for drums or Nemhaim (Doom of Valyria, Unburied) in the composition and interpretation of the overture. And of course, the Folk side that is always present, either with the use of traditional instruments or because of the collaborations with the Heathen Kvlt Tribe in the instrumentation of "Draugo (Pt I)"

Probably, this is the best Briargh album to date, where the barbaric and martial spirit of the Polish hordes, the taste for Swedish melodies and the menlancholy of indigenous traditions go hand in hand with the enormous experience of Erun Dagoth who has practicing this style for years and years. The disc is also complemented with a careful three-body digipack design to which is added a UV varnish that gives it the detail of distinction necessary for this first part of the "L Á B A R O S" trilogy, to which it will have continuity throughout the next 2022. Limited to 300 copies and available from today for € 8 + shipping costs
